We are seeking an exceptional Chief Nurse to provide strategic and professional leadership within the high profile QEUH Rectification and Public Safety & Confidence Programme.
Reporting to the Deputy Nurse Director, Acute Services, and working as part of a triumvirate leadership team, this role is central to restoring public confidence, enhancing patient safety, and driving sustainable improvements in care quality at Scotland's largest acute hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visible, values driven leadership for nursing and midwifery.
- Lead transformational change focused on patient safety, quality, and culture.
- Ensure delivery of national standards including CAAS, SPSP and IPC frameworks.
- Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and assurance processes.
- Lead complex regulatory, legal and investigative responses.
- Build effective partnerships across clinical, operational and system teams.
- Provide assurance to the Board, Scottish Government and regulators.
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Degree and Masters level qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Significant senior leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment.
- Proven track record in quality improvement, patient safety and service transformation.
- Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
