£120,000 - £130,000 basic salary with £150,000 OTE

Our client, a fast-paced and high growth company, is the UK's leading training organisation helping thousands of Business Owners, Entrepreneurs and Celebrities build, grow, and scale the business.

Located in Chelmsford, this high performing company invest heavily in their marketing strategy and now need a top performer and innovative marketer to take charge of their largest department and drive it to new levels.

The goal is to rapidly scale the business over the next 3-5 years into one of the biggest business training companies in the world. They currently dominate in the UK, and the next stage is to expand internationally - starting with Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and other English-speaking European markets like Scandinavia and the Netherlands, before moving into major markets like the US and Canada.

This new role is pivotal in the next phase of the company's growth. As the CMO, you will be responsible for overseeing a £3 million annual marketing budget, driving results-focused strategies, and building a team of top-tier marketers. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing cutting-edge marketing strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be a driven, dynamic, and performance-obsessed senior leader who will take full ownership of the entire marketing function and budget, driving growth through sharp strategic thinking and flawless execution. With the following focuses:

  • Own and execute the marketing growth strategy end-to-end, driving customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Control a £250,000 monthly marketing budget, with authority to scale it (up to £500,000 per month) based on results.
  • Diversify and optimise all acquisition channels, building on their current Meta, Google, and YouTube spend.
  • Deliver full-funnel performance - setting strategy for acquisition, conversion, upsell, and retention - while delegating day-to-day execution to the team.
  • Install world-class reporting and data structures to give full visibility of CAC, ROAS, LTV, and payback periods.
  • Expand the business into new markets and territories, driving high-performance client acquisition.
  • Implement continuity programs to strengthen retention and drive recurring revenue.

Team & Leadership:

  • You will inherit a team of 14-15, including two department heads (Acquisition and Content) and around 12 team members. The Head of Brand has built a strong brand foundation, so the primary focus is performance and growth.
  • You will have complete autonomy to review and restructure where necessary, to build a world-class team.
  • Expanding the acquisition team and strengthening social media/content capabilities will be priorities.
