Skinners' Academies Trust, a collaborative trust of six high performing schools in London and Kent, is seeking a strategic Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO) to shape the Trust's financial and operational strategy, ensuring efficiency and educational impact across all schools.
- Location: London and Kent
Founded in 2023, the Trust serves over 4,500 students across primary and secondary schools, combining excellence with inclusion, aspiration with support, and tradition with innovation.
About the RoleAs CFOO you will lead financial strategy, compliance and operational excellence. Working closely with the Senior Executive Leader, Trustees and school leaders, you will deliver:
- Strategic financial planning, risk management, and audit/reporting.
- Operational strategies to enhance quality and efficiency while respecting each school's distinctiveness.
- Central finance and operations leadership, fostering professional excellence across non teaching teams.
- Advice on strategic growth, expansion, partnership and risk management.
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with substantial experience leading finance and/or operations in a multi site environment.
- Collaborative leadership: Build strong relationships with headteachers, governors, trustees and central colleagues.
- Financial rigour: Ensure sound financial management, accurate forecasting and transparent reporting.
- Strategic & creative thinking: Design ambitious, multi year operational solutions for a diverse group of schools.
- Efficiency & innovation: Streamline processes and unlock shared benefits.
- Compliance & governance: Operate in line with the Academy Trust Handbook and manage audit, risk and regulatory assurance.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or working towards the same. Extensive experience leading finance/operations in complex multi site environments.
