As CEO, your role is central to the company's mission of providing unparalleled support, representation, and advocacy for its members. What you will do:

  • Oversee and manage a team of full and part-time employees, ensuring the delivery of outstanding service to member companies.
  • Administer the financial affairs of the company, maintaining a sound financial footing and ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
  • Act as the company secretary, managing payroll, pensions auto-enrolment, annual returns, and accounts.
  • Represent the company at high-level meetings with government departments, industry bodies, and international organisations.
  • Promote the organisation, driving membership growth, and maintaining an up-to-date member database and website.
  • Coordinate flagship events such as the Annual Best of British Awards Dinner, ensuring their success and positive industry impact.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a membership-based or industry-focused organisation.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across government, industry, and international bodies.
  • Strategic thinking and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and events simultaneously.
  • Passion for the manufacturing and metals industry, with a drive to promote its importance and growth.
