Chief Executive Officer
Artemis Executive Search has been exclusively retained by a Private Equity-backed business poised for significant transformation and growth. Following recent investment, the company is embarking on a buy-and-build strategy, targeting rapid expansion both organically and through strategic acquisitions.
This is a newly created CEO role, offering a rare opportunity to lead the creation of a high-growth platform from the ground up, alongside an experienced investment partner.
Role Overview
The CEO will work closely with the Board and PE investors to define and execute the growth strategy, with a strong emphasis on acquisitions, integration, and infrastructure build-out. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring both strategic acumen and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the strategic vision and long-term growth plan in collaboration with the PE sponsor.
- Define and drive the buy-and-build roadmap, identifying and executing bolt-on acquisitions.
- Act as the figurehead and cultural architect of the business, establishing best-in-class leadership across all functions.
Operations & Organisational Build-Out
- Build out operational infrastructure, systems, and processes from the ground up.
- Work in partnership with the Finance Director to implement scalable financial controls and reporting systems.
- Recruit and lead new functional teams including HR, Marketing, Business Support, and others as required.
M&A & Integration
- Lead the end-to-end M&A process: pipeline development, deal execution, and post-acquisition integration.
- Create value through synergies, standardised operations, and cultural alignment.
Performance & Governance
- Deliver on key financial KPIs and value creation milestones in line with the investment thesis.
- Maintain rigorous performance monitoring and reporting to the Board and investors.
What do we look for?
Experience
- Proven CEO or senior leadership experience in a growth-driven, PE-backed, or entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong M&A exposure with a track record of executing and integrating acquisitions.
- Experience building teams, systems, and operations from a low base-especially in platform-building or multi-site models.
- Comfortable working in a resource-constrained, agile environment during early-stage build-out.
