Chemical Trade Compliance Analyst

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our international clients based in Basel, a Junior to Mid-level Trade Compliance Analyst (%).

This is a great opportunity for a chemistry graduate or a compliance-oriented profile wishing to develop expertise in a global regulatory environment.

This is a 2-year temporary assignment.

Chemical Trade Compliance Analyst

Your responsibilities

As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will support the company s global trade operations by contributing to customs classification activities, controlled substances management, and chemical trade compliance. This role offers the opportunity to apply your scientific background in a regulatory, international, and multi-functional context.

• Support HS/HTS customs classification for chemical products
• Assist in the management of controlled substances and regulatory documentation
• Work with internal databases and digital tools to analyze data and prepare reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams
• Contribute to ongoing projects and continuous process improvement initiatives

Your Profile

• Bachelor s degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field
• Ability to understand chemical structures and chemical nomenclature
• Comfortable working with data, Excel, and internal systems
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Rigorous, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
• Interest in regulatory affairs, trade compliance, or international operations

This role is particularly well suited for junior candidates or chemistry graduates who wish to transition into regulatory and compliance-oriented positions.
