Chef Manager - Term Time Only

Enhance Catering is supporting a valued client in recruiting a Chef Manager to support the catering operation at there busy primary school in Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands on chef who enjoys leading a team, working with fresh ingredients, and delivering a high quality food service.

You will be an experienced Chef Manager, Cook Manager or Strong Head Chef ready to step up, with excellent cooking and people-management skills. You take pride in running a well organised, efficient kitchen and are confident producing high quality meals at volume.

• Lead and manage a team of 8 staff
• Catering for 400+ covers daily (multi outlets)
• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal food to a consistently high standard
• Manage, motivate, and develop the catering team
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety, health & safety, and due diligence requirements
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with onsite stakeholders and clients
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
• Drive food quality, consistency, and presentation

• Pay Rate - Up to £27,000 per annum
• Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week 7.00am to 3pm
• Working Weeks - 39 (term time only)

Essential Requirement for this role:

• Commute time within an hour of Melton Mowbray
• Previous Head Chef, Chef Manager, Cook Manager experience (ideally B&I, Education or Healthcare)
• Strong Management & Chef background
