This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Chef de Partie to join a well regarded, fresh food operation in a stunning lakeside setting. Based right on the marina in Bowness, this casual dining restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the water, creating a relaxed but vibrant destination for both locals and visitors.

The food offering is built around fresh, seasonal produce, combining traditional British classics with European favourites. The restaurant serves seasonal dishes, weekly specials and a renowned Sunday roast, with a strong focus on quality food, friendly service and a welcoming guest experience.

This is a great role for a chef who enjoys working in a busy, varied kitchen where consistency, organisation and attention to detail matter. With weekly entertainment and events adding to the atmosphere, the restaurant has a steady flow of guests and needs a Chef de Partie who can run a section confidently and support smooth service across the week.

This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute.

Chef de Partie Ideal Profile
  • Strong background working with fresh food in a professional kitchen
  • Confident running a section independently during busy service
  • Passionate about seasonal produce, British classics and European inspired dishes
  • Calm and organised approach under pressure
  • Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude
  • Team player who communicates well with colleagues
  • Comfortable supporting a busy casual dining operation with events, weekly specials and Sunday lunch
Chef de Partie Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard across your section
  • Support the delivery of seasonal menus, weekly specials and Sunday roast service
  • Work with fresh produce across British classics and European favourites
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Assist with stock rotation and basic kitchen prep as required
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes and services
