Chef de Partie

The Knot Inn is a busy countryside pub close to Rudyard Lake, serving freshly prepared, seasonal food throughout the week and a particularly popular Sunday lunch.

We're looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. We need someone who enjoys working with fresh food, takes pride in what they send out and can be relied upon to run their section well.

You'll work alongside our Head Chef, Sous Chef and the rest of the kitchen team, with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility over time.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking fresh food across our menus

Running your section confidently during service

Making sure dishes are consistent and well presented

Keeping your prep organised and your section ready for service

Working with and supporting other sections when needed

Following our food safety and hygiene procedures

Keeping your section and the wider kitchen clean and organised

About you

We're looking for someone with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen.

You'll need to be:

Comfortable running a section during service

Organised and able to stay on top of things when it gets busy

Reliable and a good team player

Consistent in the quality and presentation of the food you produce

Keen to learn and develop your skills

We'd particularly like to hear from chefs who are looking to progress and take the next step in their career.

Working pattern

Predominantly 4 days per week

Weekend working is required, with Sunday being one of our busiest services

We do not open on Christmas Day

From £13.00 per hour, depending on experience

TRONC in addition to your hourly rate
