The Malvern Hills Hotel is looking for a talented and motivated CDP to join our busy kitchen team. Situated right at the heart of the hills, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes to locals and hikers alike. If you have a love for fresh ingredients and a drive for consistency, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Chef de Partie, you will be a vital link in our kitchen brigade, ensuring your section runs like clockwork. Your day-to-day will involve:
Running a Section: Taking full ownership of your designated station during service.
Quality Control: Preparing and plating dishes to our exact standards, ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen is perfect.
Menu Input: Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to contribute ideas for daily specials and seasonal menu changes.
Food Safety: Maintaining impeccable hygiene standards and ensuring all HACCP and COSHH procedures are followed.
Mentorship: Assisting in the development and training of Commis Chefs and Apprentices.
What We're Looking For
Experience: Previous experience as a CDP or a strong Demi-CDP looking for the next step in a fast-paced environment.
Skillset: Strong knife skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques.
Attitude: A "can-do" approach, a cool head under pressure, and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
Reliability: Someone who takes pride in their punctuality and professionalism.
