Job Description

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie who is looking for a role with less unsociable hours. KIMS Hospital are looking for a qualified Chef de Partie who is passionate about producing excellent quality food for a patients and staff.

Unlike most Chef positions you will work 8 hour shifts between the hours of 06.30 and 19.15, that means no more working late Friday and Saturday nights. You will be required to work approximately one in four weekends.

As a Chef de Partie you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the kitchen operation and ensure the company's reputation for food quality is maintained at all times.

Role Responsibilities include
  • To plan, prepare and cook menu items as directed by Chef manager
  • To assist in the development and planning of menus developing new styles of service and concepts in the location
  • To carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section as appropriate
  • To ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service at all times
  • To compile all food orders for sections under your supervision
Person Specification
  • Hold an NVQ qualification in catering or equivalent
  • Have experience working within a commercial kitchen
  • Possess a Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Have a demonstratable passion for food and service.
  • Have a demonstratable ability to plan ahead and use their initiative
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
