Chef - Full & Part Time Portstewart

Riada are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded hospitality venue in Portstewart, known for delivering exceptional food and memorable dining experiences. Key Details:

  • £15.00 - 17.00 ph (dependent on experience)
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
  • Approximately 37-40 hours per week, including Monday 12:00pm-9:00pm, Tuesday to Friday 4:00pm-9:00pm, and Saturday shifts. The role offers full-time hours until early September, with the possibility of ongoing part time work and additional hours subject to business requirements.

The Role

As Chef, you will play a key role in delivering consistently high-quality dishes while helping to maintain the high standards the business is known for. You will support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, stock management and service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in the planning and development of menus, specials and seasonal dishes.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control and waste management.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Keep kitchen areas clean, organised and operating efficiently.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering and delivery checks.
  • Work effectively under pressure during busy service periods.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly and report any maintenance issues promptly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • A genuine passion for food and high culinary standards.
