Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service standards are maintained
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation guidelines
Oversee food safety procedures, hygiene standards, and compliance with health regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
Develop new menu items and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the culinary offerings
Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Requirements
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Demonstrable supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques
Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring staff and fostering teamwork
Experience in food production, hospitality, and serving is highly desirable
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
