Job Description
About the role 
We are looking for a dedicated Chef who can bring their skills and passion for food into our care home kitchen. You'll play a vital role in preparing and serving wholesome, homemade meals that meet nutritional needs and bring comfort and enjoyment to our Residents every day.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve homemade meals to residents.
- Ensure meals meet nutritional requirements and are appealing.
- Plan menu creatively, presenting nutritious dishes.
- Maintain highest standards of food safety and kitchen practice using HACCP.
- Attend safeguarding training and recognize signs of abuse, harm or neglect; report concerns and escalations as required.
- Seek appropriate advice and report concerns if action is not taken.
- Act as a team player with a positive attitude and a caring approach.
- Recognised qualification: S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Knowledge of HACCP.
- Experience as a cook.
All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and requires recognising signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and knowing what to do if there are concerns.
