Quest Employment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Chef to join a welcoming and professional care home team.

You'll play an important role in creating an enjoyable dining experience while supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, high-quality meals for residents.
• Supporting the Chef Manager in the day-to-day management of the catering team.
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety are maintained at all times.
• Carrying out risk assessments and following food safety procedures.
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen and catering team in the Chef Manager's absence.
• Assisting with menu planning to provide varied, balanced meals that meet residents' dietary needs.
• Working collaboratively with the wider care home team to deliver an exceptional service.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Chef with a passion for quality food and excellent customer service.

You will have:

• Previous experience working as a Chef within hospitality, catering or a care environment.
• A valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
• City & Guilds 706/1 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering/Hospitality (or equivalent).
• Ideally, a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
• A genuine passion for preparing fresh, high-quality meals.
• A positive attitude and a proactive approach to your work.
• The confidence to work independently and take responsibility when required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner when interacting with residents, families and colleagues.
