Chef

We are currently recruiting an experienced Chef for a busy nursing home. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and caring chef who enjoys preparing nutritious meals in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for residents, ensuring that all food is produced to a high standard and in line with dietary requirements.

Duties will include

• Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and modified diets as required
• Following HACCP and food safety procedures at all times
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
• Working with nursing and care staff to meet residents' dietary needs
• Managing stock rotation and kitchen supplies
• Supporting a positive and respectful environment for residents

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef, ideally in a nursing home, hospital, healthcare or catering setting
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards
• Ability to prepare meals for a range of dietary needs
• Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• A caring and respectful approach to working in a residential care setting
