At Bliss Care, we believe food is more than nutrition; it is comfort, joy, memories, and connection. Brandon House is part of a family-run care group led by experienced nurses who are passionate about providing warmth, dignity, and person-centred care.

We are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Cook to support our kitchen team as needed, including annual leave cover and busy periods.

Your Responsibilities

Prepare delicious, nutritious meals for residents and staff
Provide cover when the main Chef is on annual leave
Create bespoke meals to meet individual dietary and care needs
Follow IDDSI guidance, food safety standards, allergen management, and hygiene procedures
Maintain a clean, organised kitchen in line with cleaning schedules
Complete all required kitchen records and documentation
Bake birthday cakes and support celebrations within the home
Gather feedback from residents about meals and make improvements where needed
Support staff and resident parties with food preparation
Wear PPE and follow infection control procedures
Work closely with the care team to provide an outstanding resident experience

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in catering, kitchens, or care home catering
Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices
Someone who takes pride in their work and presentation
Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to help
