£13 per hour + Tips (approx. £3k p/a)

Full Time - approx. 35 hours

Hours: 8am - 5pm (with occasional evening events)

Location: The Hotwalls, Old Portsmouth

We're looking for a talented, energetic Chef to join our small but mighty kitchen team at The Canteen, one of Portsmouth's most unique waterside cafés.

This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys being part of a close knit team, but who also has the confidence and energy to run the kitchen solo when needed. If you love great food, a fast pace and the buzz of service then you'll fit right in.

Who we're looking for

We're searching for someone who brings enthusiasm, positivity and a genuine love for hospitality. Someone who shares our values, works brilliantly within a small team and takes pride in delivering consistently great food.

You'll likely have experience working in a commercial kitchen and enjoy the rhythm and energy of service. You're organised, calm under pressure and happy taking ownership of the kitchen when required.

What you'll be doing

Working within our experienced but small team, you'll be involved in every aspect of the kitchen and have the opportunity to really make the role your own.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing dishes consistently to recipe
• Running the kitchen solo when required
• Stock management, ordering and deliveries
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety
