This is a casual, part-time Bank Chef role at Barchester Healthcare. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, well balanced menus and tailoring them to residents' preferences. You will work with fresh seasonal produce, maintain high quality standards and contribute to a warm, person centred hospitality environment.
Job responsibilities- Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
- Prepare fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes.
- Create a warm, efficient and fun kitchen environment.
- Work within budget.
- Complete regular audits.
- Manage stock control.
- Assist in leading and motivating a team.
- Personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
- Hold City & Guilds, NVQ, SVQ or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
- Good understanding of nutrition.
- Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within a home setting.
- Good understanding of HACCP.
