The below role is open to candidates with or without compliance experience Main purposeDevelop and implement compliance programs to ensure Misgav adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Act as a guardian of Misgav's legal and ethical integrity, helping Misgav operate responsibly and avoid costly penalties or reputational damage.

1. Ensuring Regulatory adherence- Stay informed/updated on applicable regulations and laws relevant to Misgav's operations.
- Ongoing network with core bodies such as Gov.uk, CQC, the local authorities, Interlink and Natspec
- Networking with similar organisations and share knowledge, resources, and potential collaborations
- Attend relevant meetings or training sessions
- Understand and interpret legal requirements and internal policies.
- Create and review Misgav's legal and internal policies.
- Review and manage existing policies.
- Ensure that Misgav's practices, procedures and activities comply with these regulations.
- Identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within the organisation
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate or eliminate these risks
- Create and manager operational, project and individual risk assessments
- Oversee and review sessional risk assessments
- Be knowledgeable in the person-centred care requirements outlined in care plans and ensure the quality and safety of that care. Partner in developing care plans so that the plan is implemented effectively and safely, adhering to relevant regulations and ethical principles.
- Initiate and contribute to the MCA process, where appropriate.
- Develop a Business Continuety Plan (BCP) and effectively uphold Misgav's operations including processes that must be maintained.
- Perform or be part of operational or sessional audits
- Create and implement compliance programs designed to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies
- Develop initial training programs to ensure each department in Misgav follows rules and regulations
- Maintain and monitor ongoing training for all staff
- Ensure board of directors are fully trained and compliant
- Manage the recruitment process in line with the legal and ethical standards, Ensure fairness, prevent discrimination and protect Misgav from legal risks.
- Manage the induction process of a new user in line with the legal and Misgav internal requirements.
- Monitor Misgav's operational compliance activities and track performance against established standards
- Review communication strategies and reporting process of policies and proceduresLink in with project managers to evaluate each departments knowledge of policies, fine tune supervision and quality of staff performance
- Generate regular reports for management and relevant stakeholders on compliance status and potential issues.
- Investigate potential violations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken
- Action EOFC brought to the attention of senior management
- Play a vital role in fostering a culture of ethics and compliance within Misgav
- Educate employees about compliance requirements, promote ethical decision making, and encourage a proactive approach to compliance.
- Working time does not include travelling between home and work

- It is important to clock in and out daily.
- Punctuality not only means being on time but also shows commitment to your work
- Punctuality is the ability to attend trainings and meetings on time and submit task sheets or paperwork by the deadline
- Being punctual includes planning ahead and making handover arrangements, where absence has been agreed by director
- Adhere and refer to all Misgav safeguarding procedures, legal procedures and internal Misgav policies.
- Attend mandatory introductory training as outlined on your individual matrix as well as any other ongoing training the director sees beneficial/essential within your role.
- Adhere to Misgav's policies, procedures and guidelines
- Misgav is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
- Familiarise yourself with Misgav's vulnerable adults safeguarding procedures, and the procedures to be followed in the event of any allegation
- Contribute to Misgav's market activity, to include outreach delivery to promote Misgav's job placements provision
- Work as a team to include participation in meetings, planning activities and staff development.
- Provide cover throughout the wider team where necessary to accommodate emergencies.
- Act in line with our confidentiality policy.
- Advise the director of any key issues that are or could impact on the quality of service delivered.
- Comply with Misgav's health and safety procedures at all times
- Adhere to the Risk Management Policy and notify the director of any identified risk.
- Course content, materials, research and ideas are Misgav property and need to be saved on the electronic system and/or shared with the director.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by your manager or delegated.
- Good general standard of education.
- A qualification in accounting or law would be ideal. Experience in this field is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of working with people who have learning disabilities or physical disabilities.
- Demonstrable work experience.
- Knowledge and skills
- Problem solving by evaluating internal processes and considering how they adhere to current regulations, identify an issue and create a solution to manage it effectively.
- Able to give presentations to large groups of people, for example, students or colleague professionals.
- Verbal and written communication skills are valuable to this role.
- Ability to research and understand current laws and regulations.
- Training A willingness to undergo any further training or development as, or when, appropriate.
- Personal Qualities Outgoing and cheerful personality and disposition.
- High level of self-motivation and initiative with the ability to seek advice and assistance if necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with service users and staff at all levels.
- An organised, methodical and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to stay calm at times in dealing with conflict or highly pressured situations.
- Ability to be a 'good ambassador' for Misgav.
