Who are you?
Candidates will be able to demonstrate relevant grounds maintenance skills, leadership experience, and hold recognised practical qualifications such as NVQ level 2 or 3 in Amenity Horticulture or equivalent, LANTRA ride on mower operation, pesticide application certificates and hold at least 2-years experience in a similar field.
A Glimpse into the Role Awaiting You
Based at our London Borough of Lewisham Contract, covering the North area of the contract, you will be responsible for the day to day implementation of all grounds maintenance work undertaken from the depot which includes a wide range of work and activities from shrub pruning, weeding, shrub and bedding planting, herbicide application, grass cutting, habitat management, winter leaf clearing

- A strong understanding and commitment to health & safety and full UK drivers licence is required.
- Demonstrable experience working on horticultural and grounds maintenance contracts is also ideal.
- It is desirable the candidate would possess a horticultural qualification
- The ideal candidate will need to be flexible, reliable and have the ability to work under pressure to meet any deadlines required.
- The candidate must have excellent people skills, be a good communicator and be able to use IT systems.

- The main areas of responsibility will be to oversee the smooth running of the Deptford depot.
- Duties will include assisting the Contract Manager and Contract Supervisor in the efficient running of the contract.
- This is a hands-on position and the successful candidate will be required to set time frames and quality expectations and lead by example.
