service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced registered nurse to join their team based at Broomfield Hospital
This is a highly visible role providing strong professional and clinical leadership within the team. The successful candidate will assist with supporting the sub-acutely unwell patient by providing care in the patient's home, administering IV medications, wound care management, supporting admission avoidance, triage and management of the patient in the community setting.
Main duties of the jobIf you enjoy holistic, one to one care, with the time to really support your patients, then this is the job for you.
The role is predominantly based in the community (although there will be some hospital site working), therefore you will need to have a full driving license and have access to a vehicle that can be used for work purposes.
You must be a registered nurse (NMC) as you will be administering Intravenous medications.
Main duties to include but not limited to:
- Administration of IV medications in the patients home via Peripheral cannula or PICC line.
- Supporting admission avoidance
- Assessment and review of treatments
- Support patients through their treatment via agreed clinical pathways
- Review care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
- Deputise for the virtual ward manager in their absence
- Any other duties associated with the service.
operates across all three sites within the Mid & South Essex University Hospitals Group and you will need to have a driving license and access to a car in order to perform this role. Work travel expenses are paid.

Person Specification Qualifications- Driving license
- Experience working in an acute hospital setting
- community nursing experience
- TNP/VAC experience
- PICC Line trained
