Change Manager - DMLP

We are looking for a hands-on Change Manager to support the execution of change initiatives across the Data and Machine Learning organization. This role will report to the Data & ML PMO and will own the planning and execution of change and communications strategies that support data and AI-related efforts across the business.

The role spans developing strategic narratives, driving awareness, and facilitating alignment across a wide range of stakeholders from technical teams to business users. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our Data & Machine Learning initiatives are well understood, adopted, and continuously improved across the organization.

Organizational Context:

The Data & Machine Learning organization consists of two key functions:

  • Data & AI Governance (DAIG): Focused on policies, standards, processes, and technologies to enable secure, trusted, and accessible data for compliant data-driven decision making and AI innovation.

  • Data & ML Platform (DMLP): Builds the internal platforms that power critical business processes and enable confident, feature-driven, governed, and user-friendly data usage across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Change Strategy

  • Own the development of strategic change plans across initiatives that impact culture, behavior, processes, technology, data, tooling, and policy.

  • Shape and align leadership messaging around the rationale for change.

  • Influence implementation strategies beyond the formal change scope to ensure holistic outcomes.

Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute detailed change and communication plans that serve multiple, complex audience groups.

  • Create and maintain stakeholder maps and engagement strategies for all impacted functions.

  • Track success through defined KPIs and metrics; adjust plans based on feedback and business outcomes.

  • Coordinate communication across departments, ensuring updates about new features, changes, and releases are timely and aligned.

Audience Engagement

  • Customize communication approaches based on stakeholder needs and engagement levels.

  • Build and maintain a strong network of trust across technical and business functions.

  • Demonstrate empathy and ask the right questions to uncover underlying concerns or resistance.

Storytelling & Communication

  • Create compelling content that simplifies complex technical and strategic information.

  • Collaborate with content, design, and communication specialists to produce engaging narratives.

  • Coach leaders and influencers to deliver effective and inspiring change communication.

Enablement & Awareness

  • Lead awareness campaigns across internal platforms (Slack, Workplace, etc.) to promote adoption of platform features and ways of working.

  • Own the transition from migration-specific knowledge to a business-as-usual knowledge base, tailored to various user personas (engineers, data scientists, product managers, etc.).

  • Plan and execute communications to raise awareness of documentation, training, and platform updates.

Problem Solving & Risk Management

  • Decompose complex problems into clear, actionable solutions.

  • Proactively raise risks and recommend options for mitigation.

  • Identify and manage interdependencies across multiple initiatives and programs.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in leading change or internal communications programs in a complex, global environment.

  • Strong background working with technical teams and translating complex concepts into user-focused communications.

Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills?ideally with a journalistic approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute end-to-end change strategies and communications campaigns.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Influencing and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to coach and enable leaders to be effective communicators.

  • Confident facilitation skills in both physical and virtual settings.

  • Experienced in managing internal channels and social platforms.

  • Strong understanding of channel analytics, campaign evaluation, and qualitative/quantitative feedback mechanisms.
