Responsibilities- Develop and execute mid-to-long-term financial strategies aligned with thecompany's growth objectives and commercial model.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis across revenue streams includingadvertising, subscriptions, and virtual goods.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (e.g., DAU, ARPU, LTV, retention)to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Establish and manage robust capital control processes, including payments,settlements, and cash flow optimisation.
- Oversee tax planning, capital structuring, and foreign exchange risk mitigation.
- Manage banking relationships and ensure sound treasury practices.
- Design and execute fundraising strategies from seed to Series A (and beyond),including financial modelling, valuation analysis, and investor materials.
- Lead investor communications and maintain strong relationships with VC, PE, andstrategic partners.
- Oversee equity structure, option pool allocation, and post-investment governance.
- Support IPO preparation and long-term capital market strategy where relevant.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team covering accounting, treasury, FP&A,and risk functions.
- Implement scalable financial systems and internal controls to support operationalefficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with Legal and HR teams to ensure sound corporate governance, auditreadiness, and regulatory compliance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or arelated discipline. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA arehighly desirable.
- Industry Experience: At least 8 years of senior financial leadership experiencewithin the internet, technology, or mobile app sectors. Proven exposure tomonetisation models including advertising, e-commerce, subscriptions, and virtualcurrency.
- Preferred Background: Candidates with prior experience in leading internetcompanies (Tier-1 tech firms) or those who have overseen financial operations forconsumer-facing lifestyle service apps (e.g., food delivery, wellness, on-demandservices) will be given strong preference.
- IPO and Fundraising: Demonstrated success in fundraising from early-stage(angel/seed) to Series A or beyond. Familiarity with cap table structuring, valuationmodels, due diligence, and investor communications. (Bonus: Experience with asuccessful IPO, especially on NASDAQ.)
- Financial Strategy & Modelling: Strong track record in building and managingfinancial models that inform strategic decisions across product monetisation andgrowth initiatives. Able to work with performance indicators such as DAU, ARPU,LTV, and retention rates.
- Governance & Systems: Hands on experience in setting up internal financefunctions and governance frameworks. Skilled in cross-border and multi-currencyfinancial operations. Knowledge of ERP and financial tools (e.g., Oracle, Kingdee,QuickBooks) and data analytics software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to build and lead finance teams fromthe ground up, while collaborating with other departments (e.g., Product, Legal, HR)to ensure financial integrity and corporate compliance.
- Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and business acumen.Ability to navigate high-pressure environments and make sound, timely decisions.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Mandarin Chineseis an advantage.
- Experience working with leading internet companies (e.g., Tier-1 tech companies)or having operational leadership over life related services app products is highlydesirable.
- Previous experience with IPO project (e.g., NASDAQ) or having played a key rolein a high-growth scale-up phase is a strong advantage.
