Whoare we looking for?

TCHC islooking for an organised, motivated, and solution-focused individual to managetheir SEND education and training centre in Basildon. The Centre Manager will playan integral role in our centre by ensuring effective management of the centreteam, operations, and curriculum, be the lead for effective and successfulimplementation of the TCHC vision, resulting in learner achievement, successand a sustainable training centre for learners who require additional supportto progress.

A personto continue to build and promote the centre's importance to the local area andits communities with key stakeholders, identifying opportunities that supportbusiness growth. Confidently lead a team strategically through goodorganisational, interpersonal, and communication skills while enthusing othersalong the way.

  • Experiencein managing administrative responsibilities, ensuring operational tasks aresuccessful. (Essential)
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • To lead and manage the team of the education and trainingcentre, implementing the TCHC vision and curriculum.
  • To provide strategic and effective leadership for theoperational success of the centre through effective staff management.
  • To implement methods to build and extend effective localand/or national relationships that support the growth of the centre.
  • Attend network meetings with all referral agencies and localauthorities to ensure the centre is positioned effectively to supportthese stakeholders.
  • To work with the tutors to ensure learners are receiving good-qualityeducation across all courses.
  • To effectively oversee the behavioural management andattendance monitoring of learners.
  • Manage the learner recruitment process by effectivelyreaching centre capacity.
  • Effectively manage the EHCP process within education,ensuring targets are being achieved.
  • Safeguarding is acted on promptly and reported to thesafeguarding manager.
  • Monitor KPIs and report to the Director of Youth Programmes
  • Monitor and manage the centre's finances with the financedepartment.
  • Meet and build relationships with families and young people.

Theseresponsibilities serve as an initial outline for the tasks that the post holderwill initially be expected to perform. Changes may occur over time toaccommodate evolving job requirements and adapt to shifting circumstances.

Furthermore,given the dynamic nature of our operational environment, individuals in theseroles must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel to differentwork locations. This outline represents an initial plan and will be subject toperiodic review as part of our Continuous Professional Development process.

Thecompany also conducts an internal online search on social media platforms inaccordance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. Should anypertinent information arise from this search, it will be discussed with theapplicant as part of the recruitment process.

Pleasenote that upon a successful job offer, the company performs digitalisedright-to-work checks and initiates DBS applications through an external serviceprovider. An enhanced DBS check, including the barred list, is mandatory forthis role.

  • The full-time equivalentannual leave entitlement is 20 days per year in addition to 8 UK publicholidays. An additional day of leave will be added for each complete yearof service, effective from the commencement of the next holiday year, upto a maximum of 5 additional days after 5 years of service, giving amaximum total annual leave entitlement of 25 days. This will be pro ratafor part-time hours.
