Job Description
Programme Director - ServiceNow IRM Implementation

This role is for the Programme Director of the 'ServiceNow IRM Implementation' (formerly 'ORAC Replacement') change initiative. It is a Director level position based in Glasgow, primarily due to stakeholder location.

Successful candidates must demonstrate experience in delivering large, complex change initiatives and possess a deep understanding of Barclays' Operational Risk and Control Frameworks. The role requires excellent planning, delivery management, and stakeholder management skills, as timelines are fixed and non-negotiable.

Purpose of the Role

Manage change projects that support the organisation's strategic objectives, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Accountabilities
  • Manage change projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Develop and oversee project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring proper resourcing and skillsets.
  • Manage project budgets and report on progress.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate change management activities, including training and communication.
Director Expectations
  • Lead a business function or organization-wide projects, influencing strategic initiatives and policies.
  • Manage large teams or act as a technical expert and thought leader, coaching others and guiding strategic decisions.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management and committees.
  • Oversee resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for significant sub-functions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and monitor external environment influences.
  • Maintain industry and sector knowledge, applying interpretative and analytical skills to solve complex problems.
  • Make strategic decisions and influence stakeholders at senior levels.
  • Act as a principal contact and spokesperson for the function and division.
