Catering Manager

Overview

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of the new team at Wednesfield Technology Primary School.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time + 2 weeks

Start date: August/September 2026

Location: Wednesfield Technology Primary, Lichfield Road, Wolverhampton, WV11 1TP

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the catering facilities within the school to ensure students, staff and visitors receive value for money meals of a high standard.
• Maintain, contribute to and on occasion create menus which enhance lunchtime experience of all students.
• Provide catering to support extended school activities, school events and meetings.
• Strive for continual improvement of the quality of food and service.
• Ensure compliance with all food hygiene regulations, Health and Safety, COSHH regulations, risk management and full compliance with all Trust processes pertinent to the role.

Qualifications

Applicants must have experience of working in a high-volume catering environment and of managing staff.

The Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All post-holders will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), including a Children's Barred List check for post carrying out a regulated activity.

Benefits

Salary: £27,255 to £31,022 per year.

Permanent - Full-time.
