Catering Assistant

gap personnel operating as an employment business are currently recruiting for catering assistants to join their client on a temporary basis.

We are currently supporting our client in recruiting for a catering assistant and pot washer to join their team. This is a part time role, working 20 hours per week,

• Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and slice ingredients, and help assemble basic items.
• Serving and Setup: Set up tables, buffets, or serving stations, and serve food or drinks to employees.
• Cleaning and Hygiene: Wash dishes, cutlery, and cooking equipment, wipe down counters, and empty trash to meet food safety standards.
• Stock Management: Unload food deliveries, check inventory, and store items at correct temperatures.
• Customer Care: Greet employees, answer basic questions about menu items, and clear dirty plates from tables.

• Teamwork: Work well with other members of the team.
• Attention to Detail: Follow strict hygiene rules and notice special dietary needs or food allergies.
• Communication: Speak clearly and politely with coworkers and employees during lunch hours.
• Qualifications: Many entry-level roles provide on-the-job training, though a basic food hygiene certificate is required.

Monday to Friday : 11am - 3pm
