Job Title: Catering Assistant
Status: Permanent, 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7, and shifts between 7am and 7pm. Requirement to work part of July.

OverviewWould you like to join our catering team? To support the delivery of a high-quality catering service for up to 1000 residential, up to 7500-day students and 650 staff across multiple outlets on campus. At Reaseheath College, we have access to home grown produce, including Aberdeen Angus and Wagyu beef, lamb as well as amazing tomatoes, chillies and fresh salad from our glasshouse and our own cheese and butter.
Key responsibilities- Deliver a high level of customer service through polite and friendly interaction to ensure a positive experience for internal and external customers
- Work flexibly to support the wider team by preparing basic food, serving food, operating tills, stocking up, pot washing and cleaning areas as required
- Work in a busy, varied and supportive environment
- Assist with hospitality and functions as required
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of products and meals plans to advise customers on correct and current pricing including special offers across all outlets
- Knowledge of food handling and basic food preparation
- Demonstrable experience of working in a catering or service-related industry delivering a high-quality customer experience
- Ability to work flexibility and enthusiastically to meet team, customer and business needs
- Communicate effectively with all customers with a high level of interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated but with a passion to deliver a high-quality customer experience

As a College, we actively encourage applications from industry professionals without a teaching qualification, as well as those from qualified teachers. Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
