Job Responsibilities
  • Maintainhigh standardsof cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, food preparation areas, and storage areas.
  • Wash and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, trays, and cookware promptly and efficiently.
  • Assistwith the receipt, checking, and safe storage of food and non-food deliveriesin accordance withfood safety procedures.
  • Support the catering team by ensuring workstations are clean, stocked, and ready for service.
  • Carry out routine cleaning tasks, including floors, walls, surfaces, fridges, freezers, and waste disposal areas.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately, following site environmental and health & safety procedures.
  • Assistwith basic food preparation tasks as directed by the Chef or Catering Manager
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and used safelyin accordance withCOSHH regulations.
  • Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues.
  • Helpmaintaincompliance with food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding requirements within the college environment.
  • Support catering operations during busy service periods and college events asrequired.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming catering service for students, staff, and visitors.
