Catering Assistant

Berkeley Scott is seeking a Catering Assistant for temporary agency work in Peacehaven, with a starting hourly pay of £12.71 to £14.00, dependent on experience and end client. This role, beginning in September, involves supporting kitchen teams with food preparation and service across schools and hospitality clients in the local area. You will serve meals, maintain high standards of hygiene, and assist with general kitchen duties. Flexible shifts are available to suit your schedule, making this ideal for those wanting to build experience or earn additional income. Reliable and enthusiastic individuals are required for these varied roles.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting kitchen teams with food preparation and service.
• Serving meals in school and catering environments.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Washing up and keeping work areas organised.
• Working as part of a friendly and professional team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant or within a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one if required).
• Two employment references.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage but is not essential.
