Catering Assistant

£12.71 per hour

7.5 hour shift, Monday to Friday with no weekend work.

39 working weeks per year based on school term time.

Job Introduction

As a Catering Assistant, you are the friendly face and backbone of our kitchen team! You'll provide fantastic customer service while assisting in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals of the highest quality, using our fresh ingredients.

Main Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff.
• Assist with preparing and serving delicious meals.
• Operate tills (full training provided).
• Ensure a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times.
• Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy.

The Ideal Candidate

• A friendly and versatile personality, able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills and enthusiasm for interacting with people.
• Previous catering experience is a bonus, but training is provided for the right person.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred, but not essential; full training will be provided.
