Job Description

Job Location: Ribble HQ, Preston (PR5 8AS), 4 days on site, 1 day flexible.

Reports to: Commercial and Marketing Director

THE ROLE

This pivotal role owns and drives the commercial success and future growth of Ribble's product categories. Primarily responsible for delivering commercial results, you will bring strategic vision, market and consumer insight, and hands on execution to deliver a compelling product range and an exceptional customer experience. Beyond managing the current range, you will actively identify and develop new revenue streams, commercial partnerships and category expansion opportunities that help Ribble continue to grow and lead in the premium cycling market. The role also line manages the Product Administration team, ensuring accurate product setup, strong data governance and smooth operational delivery across the product lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Margin Growth

Drive category performance to hit and exceed our commercial targets. Entrepreneurially driven, you will identify new categories and brands, margin accretive add on sales and ways to drive up our AOV and attachment rates. This role is all about identifying and satisfying customer needs to grow the business.

Commercial Growth & New Revenue Opportunities

Identify and develop new revenue streams across product, services and partnerships that strengthen Ribble's commercial performance. Explore adjacent categories and emerging opportunities that align with Ribble's brand and customer base, building commercial cases and leading the teams cross functionally to bring them to market.

Supplier & Partner Management

Build close, collaborative relationships with suppliers and strategic partners to unlock innovation, exclusives and commercial advantage. Identify opportunities for joint commercial initiatives, product collaborations and differentiated propositions.

Market & Competitor Analysis

Understand key industry trends, competitor activity and customer insights to identify market gaps, emerging opportunities and potential category expansion opportunities.

Collaboration & Cross Functional Leadership

Deliver strong NPD launches, commercial initiatives and new growth opportunities by working closely with product design, marketing, supply chain, digital and operations teams.

Team Leadership & Product Administration

Line manage the Product Administration team (2 people), ensuring strong product data governance, accurate product setup and efficient processes that support the successful launch and ongoing management of the product range.

ABOUT YOU
  • Proven experience in category management, product management or commercial roles. Experienced at identifying new sources of growth, and bringing these new initiatives to market.
  • Experience within cycling, sports, outdoors or a relevant adjacent category.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of identifying and delivering incremental sales and profit growth.
  • A commercially curious, entrepreneurial mindset, always looking for new opportunities to grow revenue, expand categories and strengthen the Ribble proposition.
  • A passion for and understanding of the cycling category, market trends and rider needs.
  • A balance of strong analytics and data capability with creativity to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Engaging in how you communicate and influence both within and outside the business.
  • Experience in a D2C digital - and ideally multi channel - brand or retail environment.
  • A strong and experienced negotiator, able to balance competing priorities to achieve the right outcome
