Chase & Holland are delighted to support a superb client in West Yorkshire in the recruitment of Category Manager to join their multi award-winning team. The Category Manager will be instrumental in selecting and managing suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in the supply chain while maintaining quality.
Purpose of Role:
You will have specific categories within your remit. While this isn't a direct line management role, you will be expected to play an active role in upskilling junior members and have some informal supervisory responsibilities.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring supplier contracts are robustly negotiated and the best price is achieved
- Engaging with suppliers and actively managing relationships
- Regular monitoring of suppliers and updating approval lists where required
- Onboarding new suppliers and offboarding old suppliers
