This pivotal role plays a crucial part in driving the success of our organisation. It involves crafting and executing strategic procurement solutions to empower project delivery teams and advance the business. You will oversee a portfolio of commodities and categories aligned with our company's goals.

Algeco UK is a leader in modular accommodation, providing buildings for hire, sale, and rent, including off-site permanent structures for various durations and uses.

Your Responsibilities Lead Commodity Management and Strategy
  • Manage diverse commodities and categories.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with company objectives to drive growth and profitability.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts, KPIs, and SLAs with suppliers.
  • Promote best practices across the strategy lifecycle.
Innovate and Enhance Procurement
  • Create tools and processes for strategy development.
  • Build a proactive knowledge base within the team.
  • Collaborate on resolving issues during strategy implementation.
  • Ensure alignment with Supply Chain goals and procedures.
  • Support projects for commodity development and procurement growth.
Strengthen Collaborative Relationships
  • Develop value-added relationships with Material Management, departments, and suppliers.
  • Assist sites in supply chain issue resolution.
  • Drive improvements in externally purchased materials and services.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data in Business Central.
What We Need From You

Experience:

  • Procurement and supply chain proficiency with proven track record.
  • Experience in developing effective supply chain solutions.
  • Capex procurement experience is advantageous.
  • Background in construction, manufacturing, or engineering preferred.
  • Degree in business or technical field, specializing in procurement/supply chain management is desirable.
