Job Description
The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking an experienced Receptionist to provide a warm welcome, helpful and efficient service to guests.
Responsibilities- Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times.
- Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to required standard.
- Carry out float checks and handle all cash transactions accurately throughout the shift including the issue/use of safety deposit boxes.
- Being aware of special promotions operating in the hotel, ensuring they are offered to maximise occupancy/revenue.
- Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service including being aware of specific daily functions/events, in order to deal with enquiries efficiently and effectively.
- To be fully aware of and understand Fire, Bomb, Health and Safety and emergency procedures.
- Previous experience in a quality hotel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive, 'can do' attitude.
- The ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., Opera.
- Ability to work as and when required, including weekend work.
