Children 1st Birstall, 1 Park Road, Birstall LE4 3AX

Salary & Hours

Starting from £12.90ph - £13.30, depending on qualification and experience.

Hours to be discussed, ideally 8 hour days.

Role Overview

Provide cover for children as and when needed, including holiday, sickness or vacancy gaps. Provide full day or morning/afternoon sessions. Start most days with a fully formulated plan that may need to be pivoted due to changing circumstances.

Promote creativity through hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise and educational games to keep children engaged.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cover for children as needed, covering holiday, sickness and vacancy gaps.
  • Support children for full days or part day sessions.
  • Plan the day with a structured programme and pivot when circumstances change.
  • Deliver engaging activities aligned with EYFS standards.
  • Encourage children's natural curiosity, confidence and resilience.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 2 or above qualification in early years, fully relevant.
  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or working with children under the age of five.
  • Knowledge and understanding of EYFS desirable.
