Location - Children 1st Newark Nursery School, Muskham Road, Newark NG24 1DP

Salary - £12.71ph to £13.30ph. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications

Hours - To be discussed; ideally looking for 8 hours a day. 24 - 40 hours per week

Qualification - Ideally hold a level 2 or above in Childcare; can look at unqualified with experience.

Hi, I'm Sophie, the Nursery Manager at Newark Nursery. With 10 years of experience in early years education, I began my career as an apprentice and have proudly managed our nursery for the past 6 years. I lead a dedicated team who ensure every child has the opportunity to grow, develop, and thrive in our care.

Our nursery is a home-from-home environment with warm, welcoming spaces and a large outdoor garden designed for play and discovery.

We provide spacious, thoughtfully designed environments where children learn, play, and flourish every day.

How you'll spend your time here

• You'll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps.
• Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
• You'll likely start most days with a fully formulated plan, but adjustments are common as circumstances change in childcare.
• Creativity is key: teaching young children through hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. You will work within EYFS standards while bringing your creative flair.

We'd love to talk to you if you have the following

• Level 2 or above qualification in early years or equivalent; we can consider unqualified Educators who demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm.
• Experience as an Early Years Educator / Nursery Nurse / Practitioner or with children under 5 is advantageous
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
• Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together

What you'll need

• A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (Unqualified candidates may be considered if they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm.)
• Experience as an Early Years Educator or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous
• Knowledge of the EYFS is desirable
• Commitment to the values of responsibility, openness and teamwork
