We are looking for driven, reliable, and professional St Aidan's undergraduate students to join Team Gym in Academic Year 2025/2026. Employment will start on the 28 th of September, that will include staff paid induction training.
All applicants must be team players and fully embody the St Aidan's ethos of Kindness, Inclusivity, Integrity, Respect for Othe r, and Love as the gym must be a safe place where all users are welcome to train regardless of their abilities and experience.
No prior gym work experience is needed. Key requirements are a positive attitude toward learning, community building and inclusivity.
Under instruction from fitness suite colleagues:
deliver personal training and fitness classes, designing content for classes appropriate to customer needs;
operate a range of domestic, office, maintenance tools and fitness equipment to ensure the safety, security and hygiene of the fitness suite;
follow security and safety procedures when inducting new facility users;
respond to queries and provide guidance, both face to face and over the phone, to potential and existing facility users;
resolve problems in line with recognised procedures and protocols;
report incidents in accordance with fitness suite risk assessments;
accommodate the needs of fitness suite colleagues and customers through a flexible approach to working;
plan own workload within pre-determined fitness suite schedule;
complete necessary skills training to deliver a high quality service;
administer basic first aid, as and when required.
