We are currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, NPS Lincoln (National Probation Service), for a Case Administrator to join their team on a full-time temporary basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected public service team and provide vital administrative support in the delivery of probation services.
About the RoleThe Case Administrator will support probation staff and individuals on probation by ensuring all administrative processes run efficiently and in line with National Probation Service procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records and information on probationers and victims using approved databases
- Provide administrative support for referrals, appointments, and sentence plans
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate case-related activities
- Prepare and update case files and documentation
- Handle enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Support with enforcement admin, petty cash, vouchers, and travel warrants
- Assist with meeting preparation, minute taking, and distribution of action points
- Report and arrange repair of faulty equipment or resources
- Support safeguarding responsibilities in line with statutory obligations
- Provide cover within other local units as necessary
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Comfortable dealing with sensitive information and challenging behaviours
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
