The Role
The Domestic Abuse Specialist Team (DAST) is seeking a part-timeCaringDadsFacilitatorto join the Caring Dads Team. As afacilitator,you will be involved in deliveringtheCaringDadsprogramme across Warwickshire. The role requires the successful candidate to be available for evening work at community venues across Warwickshire.
The Caring Dads Programme is a crucial, evidence-based intervention helping fathers with abusive or neglectful behaviour change towards child-centred fathering, fostering healthier parent-child bonds by increasing self-awareness, responsibility, and skills in managing emotions, promoting respect, and building trust, ultimately enhancing child well-being and safety, by tackling the root causes of harmful interactions taking place around the child.
The successful candidate will be joining an established team, working alongside an experienced co-facilitator delivering theCaringDadsProgramme throughout Warwickshire. Flexibility will be required as groupsrun in the evenings, 6pm - 8pm.You will have experience in groupwork delivery and an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and families.
The role requiresa relevant professional qualification deemed appropriate by the council such as probation, teaching, counselling, guidance professional or social work qualification, level 4 or above.
