Location
Sitwell Infant School, Grange Road, Rotherham, S60 3LA
Schedule
Term time plus 3 weeks during school holidays (42 weeks per year). Split shift pattern: 6:30 am - 9:00 am and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Flexibility required on occasion to support school events.
About the Role
As caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the school's buildings and grounds are safe, secure, well maintained and fit for purpose. You will undertake routine maintenance, liaise with contractors, carry out cleaning duties and help to maintain a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The post-holder will also manage key holder responsibilities and occasional emergency call outs.
About You
- Ability to carry out routine repair work to buildings.
- Ability to carry out cleaning tasks in line with cleaning specifications.
- Experience of working in building and site maintenance.
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of building security.
- Experience of working with tradespeople & contractors.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
