Caretaker

Leonard's Primary School offers an engaging opportunity for an experienced caretaker to become part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Unlock the school site at approximately 7.00am.
• Lock and secure the school site at approximately 6.00-6.30pm.
• Carry out statutory fire and water safety checks.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs around the school site.
• Monitor the condition, cleanliness, and safety of the premises.
• Liaise with contractors as required.
• Work approximately 4 hours per day, split across morning and evening duties, with 4 weeks of workload during school holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in school caretaking or a similar relevant role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and apply Health and Safety regulations, including carrying out and recording compliance checks.
• Friendly, approachable, flexible, resilient and hardworking.
• Willingness to participate in all aspects of school life.

Working Pattern

The position typically involves around 4 hours of work per day, split between morning and evening duties, with four weeks of work performed during school holidays.
