Job Description

Full-Time School Caretaker - Ashford

Academics are currently recruiting a Full-Time Caretaker to work on behalf of a local school in Ashford. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and reliable caretaker to join a supportive school environment.

Hours: Full-time, Monday to FridayPay: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing the school site

  • General maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the premises

  • Carrying out health & safety and compliance checks

  • Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained

  • Setting up rooms for lessons, events, and meetings

  • Monitoring site security and liaising with contractors

  • Supporting staff with day-to-day site needs

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience as a school caretaker, site supervisor, or facilities assistant

  • Strong understanding of health & safety procedures

  • Reliable, hands-on, and able to work independently

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
