Salary: £15.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Our client is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join the kitchen team in a welcoming care home environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that make a real difference to residents' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard.
• Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen and cover the Chef Manager when required.
• Ensure meals meet residents' dietary needs and minimise food waste.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
• Complete food safety records and comply with HACCP, COSHH, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Assist with stock control and food ordering.
• Support and supervise Kitchen Assistants and Hosts when required.
• Help create a welcoming dining experience for residents and visitors.

About You

• Previous experience as a Chef, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Good knowledge of food safety, allergens, HACCP, and COSHH.
• Passionate about producing high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Flexible and confident to lead the kitchen in the Chef Manager's absence.
