Job Description
Up to £42,000 DOE + bonus + £75 per week on-call allowance Permanent, full time, office based

Are you a care manager who knows Oxford - the streets, the community, the local healthcare network - and wants a branch you can genuinely put your stamp on?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately funded home care provider for a Branch Care Manager to take the lead at their Oxford branch. This is a smaller, established branch with real room to grow, and the successful manager will have the backing of a national support structure to do exactly that.

This is a leadership role, not an admin one. You'll hold the CQC registration for the branch, lead a small office team, and be accountable for both the quality of care delivered and the commercial performance of the branch.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and developing your branch team - typically a Care Coordinator and Field Care Supervisor, plus your carer team

  • Holding the registration for the location and driving a genuine 100% compliance culture

  • Preparing for and performing well at CQC inspection

  • Growing care hours sustainably and profitably through new customer acquisition and developing existing packages

  • Building relationships across the local community - GPs, district nurses, discharge teams, safeguarding, community groups

  • Managing the branch budget, KPIs and business performance

  • Taking part in the branch on-call rota

What you'll need

  • Proven management experience in domiciliary care (registered manager experience preferred, but a strong care management background will be considered)

  • A good working knowledge of Oxford and the surrounding area, and the local healthcare and community landscape

  • Solid CQC knowledge and experience of inspection preparation

  • Commercial awareness - you can grow a branch without compromising care quality

  • Strong people management: recruitment, retention, development, performance

  • Resilience, initiative and a solutions-focused approach

  • A full driving licence valid for use in the UK and access to a vehicle (or the ability to travel reliably across the branch area)

  • The right to work in the UK

What's on offer

  • Base salary up to £42,000, dependent on experience

  • Bonus scheme (non-guaranteed) on top of base

  • £75 per week on-call allowance when you're on the rota

  • Central support from dedicated recruitment, marketing and compliance teams

  • A private-pay client base - no local authority contracts

  • A two-stage interview process: first with the Area Care Manager, second with the Head of Operations

Please note: salary is based on experience and is not guaranteed at the maximum level. Bonus is not guaranteed. Full details will be discussed at interview.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and registration with the Care Quality Commission.
