Job Description

The Care Assistant (Nights) role at Agincare Homes Holdings in Fareham is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the residents. The successful candidate will provide companionship, personal care, medication support, and social activities to help the clients live as independently as possible.

Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant (Nights), you will be responsible for providing a range of support services to the residents, including companionship, personal care, medication management, meal assistance, and light cleaning tasks. You will also engage the clients in social activities and support their mobility to promote their independence. The role requires a minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK and 24 hours per week.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care - supporting with a wash bath or shower and helping the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication - Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals - Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities - Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.

Qualifications
  • No specific qualifications are required, but previous experience in the care sector or a desire to pursue a rewarding career in care would be advantageous.
