Full job descriptionJoin our passionate team at M&D Care as a Care Assistant in our Specialist Service near Cross Hands and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. As a Care Assistant, you will provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but having the right values is important to us.
Role and Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
- Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
- Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
- Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
- Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
- Treat others with dignity and respect
- Work well as part of a team
- Strive for high-quality care and positive outcomes
- Willing to learn and grow professionally
- Take time to listen and understand individual needs
- Support people's right to make their own choices
- Be present, attentive, and ready to help when needed
- Shift patterns vary and include weekends and night shifts on a rota basis
- No prior experience required - full training provided
