Job Description
Cancer Services TWR Booking Assistant

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Cancer Services office in maintaining accurate records of new and existing cancer referrals. Work within the Cancer Two Week Wait office to efficiently schedule and book appointments for patients in accordance with Trust and National guidelines, while also demonstrating a target-driven approach towards the front-end of the cancer pathways. The role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth referral management processes, supporting adherence to trust guidelines, and contributing to the achievement of cancer standards.

Main duties
  • Manage patient registrations and appointment bookings in the Two Week Rule office, ensuring timely scheduling for patients referred under the Two Week Rule for suspected cancer.
  • Master cancer Two Week Rule pathways for various tumour specificities, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in the registration and booking process.
  • Demonstrate good organisational, communication and prioritisation skills in a busy department.
  • Work at both Epsom and St Helier sites as required, 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Minimum of NVQ 3 or equivalent experience
Experience
  • Experience of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Experience working in a hospital environment
  • Use of patient information systems
Knowledge and Skills
  • Organisation and prioritising skills

Salary: £30,630 to £32,346 a year, pro rata per annum, inc HCAS (Outer London)
