Job Description

The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team and will be responsible for providing neurodevelopmental assessments and interventions for children, adolescents and families using evidence based interventions presenting with neuro developmental disorders, and other mental health difficulties.

Main duties of the job

To ensure high quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to the service.

To monitor and review young people including recording their physical observations in ADHD Clinic. To complete assessments with young people referred. This will include the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a variety of therapeutic approaches either alone or as a member of the MDT and including medication/physical reviews for those on medications.

NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration together with significant post qualification experience in mental health services to post graduate diploma level.

Experience of case management of young people, multi-agency working with knowledge and experience of neuro developmental disorders is essential.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications
  • NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration
  • Significant post qualification experience in mental health services to post graduate diploma level.

£39,959 to £48,117 a year per annum, pro rata
